K.J. MAHER (Minister for Manufacturing and Innovation, Minister for Automotive Transformation, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation): Construction works on the Pukatja Airstrip Access Road commenced on 22June 2015, and were completed in late August 2015. The section of works, from Stuart Highway to Indulkana commenced on 19 September 2015 and is expected to be completed in December 2015, weather permitting. Construction on the 43 kilometre section, from Pukatja to Umuwa is planned to commence in early 2016. Under the National Partnership agreement with the commonwealth, the project completion date is scheduled for the 2018-19 financial year.
