          <by role="member" id="3122">The Hon. I.K. HUNTER (Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion, Minister for Social Housing, Minister for Disabilities, Minister for Youth, Minister for Volunteers):</by>  The Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation has been advised:</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000308">1.&amp;#x9;South Australian Government agencies are working closely with the Australian Government to assist the implementation of compulsory income management in the Playford area. In relation to other parts of South Australia, the state government continues to advocate strongly for extensive consultation to take place with relevant communities before a decision to introduce any formal model of income management is made.</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000309">2.&amp;#x9;The South Australian Government continues to work closely with the Australian Government in relation to Aboriginal communities.</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000310">3.&amp;#x9;The Australian Government has the legislative authority to introduce income management (compulsory or voluntary) as a formal mechanism to quarantine welfare recipient income under the relevant legislation.</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000311">4.&amp;#x9;The state government does not have the power to quarantine a welfare recipient's income.</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000312">5.&amp;#x9;The South Australian Government is working with the Commonwealth on the introduction of welfare reform in Playford.</text>
        <text id="2012112910b5beeae9644712a0000313">The Commonwealth Government leads the legislative authority with regard to welfare related income management measures.</text>
