Given that the minister said that the government has attempted to take industry and the community with it, why have the shadow minister and the local member been denied briefings? The Hon. G.E. That is just outrageous! I have always indicated in this place that my door is always open. I have an open-door policy. When I am requested, where I possibly can, I attempt to meet with that person, whether it is an individual or a representative of a peak organisation or whatever. I believe that South Australians have the right to meet with ministers and members of parliament to discuss their issues of concern. I understand that the issue has been trying to find a suitable time that is mutually convenient for these briefings to be had. No briefing has been denied. Members in this place would be well aware that, when they request briefings, my office and my agencies really work very hard to accommodate not just members of parliament but members of the public as well to fit in with their commitments and to make a time that is mutually convenient. At present, my understanding is that we have not been able to find a mutually convenient time. We have agreed to meet, if not with me at least with one of my officers, and the door is and remains open. The briefings will be given; it is simply a matter of finding a time that is mutually convenient for the parties.
