        <text id="20120515359284b0298a48bda0000415">Police officers and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) authorised officers have the power to issue an expiation notice. These officers use their discretion to assess each situation individually in terms of the safety of ferry users and DPTI ferry operators.</text>
