Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) provided a media release on 7 June 2011 stating: 'In attaining a 4 Star Green Star rating, the South Australian Government will demonstrate not only its commitment to environmental and financial sustainability, but also its determination to improve the health and wellbeing of South Australians.' GBCA states that: 'SA Health should be acknowledged as a national leader in sustainable health facilities, with a commitment to minimising environmental impacts and effectively future-proofing its buildings.'
