STEPHENS: Given this issue is directly relevant to the portfolio of the Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion, can he inform the council whether he supports the idea of a transport subsidy? Mr Brokenshire's comments about a science degree having no pertinence to being able to answer these questions. A transport subsidy is, of course, a very thorny issue; it means subsidising private enterprise to take products up to the lands. It is not the only way that these issues can be resolved.
