DARLEY:</by>  On 5 October 2011, the Adelaide Hills <term>Courier</term> reported that Mr Jon Delaine, an NRM policy officer, reported to the Adelaide Hills Council that the Central Hills Natural Resources Management Group had undertaken the following activities:</text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">delivered programs in 372 hectares of remnant vegetation;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000490">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">delivered programs in 250 hectares of agricultural land;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000491">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">gave face-to-face advice to 1,129 landholders;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000492">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">provided over-the-phone advice to 1,450 callers;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000493">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">wrote three-year property management plans for 132 landholders;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000494">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">revegetated 64 hectares of land;</item>
        </text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000495">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">fenced off 16 kilometres of watercourses; and</item>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">patrolled 439 kilometres of roadside for noxious weeds.</item>
        </text>
        <text continued="true" id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000497">Whilst I understand that the patrolling of noxious weeds cost $118,000, no costs were provided for any of the other activities. My questions are:</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000498">1.&amp;#x9;What was the total cost of providing the three-year property management plans to the 132 landholders?</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000499">2.&amp;#x9;Were the property management plans provided to owners of hobby farms or viable farming units?</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000500">3.&amp;#x9;Were these property management plans asked for by the landowners?</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000501">4.&amp;#x9;For what reason was 16 kilometres of watercourses fenced off, and what was the cost of this?</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000502">5.&amp;#x9;What was the cost of providing face-to-face advice to landowners, and what was the outcome of that advice?</text>
        <text id="201111223b94887bb5384859a0000503">6.&amp;#x9;Is it the intention of the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resource Management Board to charge for these services, as is required by similar agencies?</text>
