GAGO (Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Public Sector Management, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Government Enterprises, Minister for Gambling):</by>  The Minister for Mineral Resources Development has been advised:</text>
        <text id="20111018d5e01f560196489da0000383">1. &amp; 2.&amp;#x9;The question from the Honourable Member is not one the Government of South Australia is in a position to answer, nor should it be. The responsibility for controls on the export of uranium lies with the Australian Government.</text>
        <text id="20111018d5e01f560196489da0000384">It is suggested that the Honourable Member direct his enquiries to the Department for Resources Energy and Tourism–RET controls the issue of Uranium Export Permits. Australian Uranium may only be exported to countries which observe the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and are committed to non-proliferation and nuclear safeguards.</text>
