Can the minister explain why it is appropriate and safe to transport radioactive waste across South Australia to a radioactive dump in the Northern Territory when a few short years ago the government legislated to prohibit the transfer of radioactive waste through South Australia to the proposed radioactive waste dump here in this state? What has changed in the intervening period?</text>

I have not received any information at all from the commonwealth government that any proposal is going to go ahead. It is very early days and we will be fully engaged to make sure that all South Australians are kept very safe in their homes and in their local communities.</text>
