GAGO (Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Public Sector Management, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Government Enterprises):</by>  The Minister for Disability has provided the following information:</text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000315">1.&amp;#x9;I am advised that 83 state government buildings contain hearing loops.</text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000316">2.&amp;#x9;I am advised that of the 83 units, none have been identified as being in need of repair.</text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000317">3.&amp;#x9;A twelve month warranty period applies to newly installed hearing loops. </text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000318">Due to the maintenance free nature of the equipment, the 'hi Deafness Friendly co-ordinator has advised of only three breakdowns for 600 installations in the last six years. Scheduled maintenance is not recommended, unless there is a change to the electromagnetic field in which they operate.</text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000319">4.&amp;#x9;Of the 83 units identified, all are in working order.</text>
        <text id="20110208eaef481c3bd34e45a0000320">5.&amp;#x9;State Government departments develop separate plans for the installation of equipment to ensure buildings and services are accessible and inclusive. This may include hearing loops. Whilst 83 units are already in use, further hearing loops in State Government buildings will be installed if identified during the ongoing implementation of each department's Disability Action Plan.</text>
