      <text id="20100506cd0bf2ef4a3148b8b0000008">His Honour Justice Gray produced a commission from His Excellency the Governor authorising him to be a commissioner to administer to newly elected members the oath of allegiance or receive an affirmation in lieu thereof, also a writ and returns for the election of 11 members.</text>
      <text id="20100506cd0bf2ef4a3148b8b0000009">The oath of allegiance or affirmation was then administered to and subscribed by the new members, who signed the members' roll.</text>
      <text id="20100506cd0bf2ef4a3148b8b0000010">The commissioner retired.</text>
