<by role="member" id="3128">The Hon. A. BRESSINGTON: </by> On 26 March 2009 I asked a question regarding police procedures and was advised by the minister representing the Minister for Police that the question would be referred to the minister for answers and that 'one would need to know the context in which that question was asked; in other words, the circumstances of any particular situation'. My questions at the time sought to ascertain what is considered standard operational procedure when members of the public seek to make a police incident report when a serious assault has occurred, regardless or who the victim or offender is. As yet I have not received any response to my questions. My questions to the Minister for Police are:</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000225">1.	Under what circumstances would police refuse to take a police incident report when a serious assault has occurred?</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000226">2.	If a person who is wrongfully arrested was the victim of a serious assault, can that person once released lodge a police incident report?</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000227">3.	What powers do the police have to compel a suspect to participate in a line-up?</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000228">4.	Are the police required to give either their name or badge number when requested by a constituent who believes they have been harshly or unfairly treated?</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000229">5.	Under what circumstances can police officers deviate from standard operational procedure and, if so, under what circumstances can police refuse to give their name or badge number or to take a police incident report?</text>
<text id="20090716e061a9336f9248f3b0000230">6.	When was this practice written or ratified into the police policy and procedure manual?</text>
