GAGO (Minister for State/Local Government Relations, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Government Enterprises, Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Energy):</by>  The Minister for Environment and Conservation has advised:</text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">The government is currently conducting surveys on penguin colonies located close to some marine parks focus locations including on Pearson Island, Troubridge Island and Reevesby Island.</item>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">A study of Little Penguin feeding and reproductive behaviour at a number of locations around the State's coast is being conducted through the South Australian Research and Development Institute.</item>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">Little Penguin census counts also currently occur on an annual basis on Kangaroo Island, West Island and Granite Island supported by the Department for Environment and Heritage and Natural Resources Management Boards in collaboration with commercial operators and the community.</item>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">The data collected is being used to inform marine parks baseline data and is an integral component to ensure ongoing monitoring and management is effective.</item>
