          <inserted>That, pursuant to sections 30 and 34 of the Fair Work Act 1994, the nominee of this council to the panel to consult with the Minister for Industrial Relations regarding the reappointment of three members to the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia be the Hon. John Gazzola MLC.</inserted>

        <text continued="true" id="2009070258fe2fc15c244a0590000014">I understand that the Minister for Industrial Relations has had discussions with the opposition in another place and that, as is the convention with these things, the shadow minister in another place is being appointed to the panel to consult regarding the reappointment of the three members of the Industrial Relations Commission. In accord with convention, I have moved that the Hon. John Gazzola be the representative of this council on that panel.</text>
        <text id="2009070258fe2fc15c244a0590000015">If anyone has any questions in relation to those positions on the Industrial Relations Commission and how that might relate to changes that have occurred in conjunction with the commonwealth, I would refer them to the Estimates Committee A <term>Hansard</term> report of 30 June, where there was some discussion between Dr McFetridge, the shadow minister, and the Minister for Industrial Relations in connection with that matter, and the minister answered those questions. I commend the motion to the council.</text>
