G.E. GAGO (Minister for State/Local Government Relations, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Government Enterprises, Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Energy): The Minister for Families and Communities has provided the following information: 1.	The submissions from prospective service providers have been assessed. The successful and unsuccessful applicants have been notified. 2.	In 2006 small grants were offered to community organisations to help with exploring special issues for problem gamblers. The Aids Council of SA applied for a small one-off grant to assist sex workers who were caught in a gambling debt cycle. Encouraging the sex workers to seek help from gambling help services was the focus of the project. The project commenced 1 September 2006 and concluded 31 August 2007.
