        <text id="200811272cfdd724046040ddb0000636">1.&amp;#x9;The Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure considered that wider research and consultation undertaken at a national level, was sufficient to make an informed decision about the use of wire rope safety barriers.</text>
        <text id="200811272cfdd724046040ddb0000637">2.&amp;#x9;The typical installation costs of safety barriers are:</text>
        <text id="200811272cfdd724046040ddb0000638">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">Wire rope safety barrier&amp;#x9;&amp;#x9;$140 per metre</item>
        </text>
        <text id="200811272cfdd724046040ddb0000639">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">W-beam steel barrier&amp;#x9;&amp;#x9;$120 per metre; $160 per metre double sided</item>
        </text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">Concrete (new jersey) barrier&amp;#x9;$350 per metre</item>
