          <by role="member" id="3130">The Hon. M. PARNELL:</by>  Presented a petition signed by 206 residents of South Australia, concerning the protection of marine habitat and water acquisition and usage. The petitioners pray that this honourable house will urge the government to—</text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">drop plans to build a desalination plant on Spencer Gulf and that it be built at Pelican Point and hyper saline be pumped to the existing salt crystallisation pans near St Kilda instead;</item>
        </text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">consider that treated effluent from Bolivar be pumped to Olympic Dam for use on the extensions there, implementing the 'Bolivar to Billiton' plan of 2006; and</item>
        </text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">consider a desalination plant be built at Ceduna using wave power and hyper saline be pumped into the Bight.</item>
