        <text id="20071114571552ff766c4905b0000485">1.&amp;#x9;There is currently no formal program or separate budget allocation for roadside crash markers in the 2007-07 financial year.</text>
        <text id="20071114571552ff766c4905b0000486">2.&amp;#x9;The Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure responds to requests from community road safety groups, local councils and service clubs for signage and marker installation.</text>
        <text id="20071114571552ff766c4905b0000487">The Department provides a liaison and technical advice service and also supplies crash markers and signs to the groups requesting them.</text>
        <text id="20071114571552ff766c4905b0000488">In the order of $10,000 has been spent since 1999 on crash markers and signage with the costs being met from within road maintenance allocations.</text>
