Mr COWDREY House of Assembly Colton Mr COWDREY: In answer to a similar question in question time on 16 October, the minister stated that whilst she had received an initial briefing the issue is currently delegated to the Attorney-General with the expectation that it will be handed over to her office soon. It has now been approximately one year since the trial was completed and the residents of my community in the western suburbs are still waiting for the results to be released. The Hon. L.P. As I indicated in a previous sitting, the issue does remain with the Attorney-General in the other place. I understand that it is a complex and challenging environmental issue. I know it's very important to that local community, and the Attorney-General has obviously had carriage of that issue for some time. As I said in the previous answer in the previous sitting, it does remain with the Attorney-General and when an announcement is imminent he will release it.
