          <inserted>Since forming government, we have been committed, through a number of programs, to building capacity within the department to better respond to the needs of children and young people in contact with the system. </inserted>

          <inserted>These programs have led to a decrease in the number of children and young people in residential care. In the last financial year, the number of children and young people in residential care decreased by 4 per cent.</inserted>
