          <inserted>The standard timeframe for determining liquor licence applications is 28 days from the date of advertising.  Delays in determining an application can result from interventions lodged by SAPOL in relation to individual person approvals for the prospective licence, as well as the consideration of submissions received from the public or surrounding businesses regarding the impact on the locality. </inserted>
