          <inserted>As a matter of course, the Department for Housing and Urban Development evaluates all code amendment submissions to determine if a streamlined process may apply (irrespective of proponent request).</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20250916f1bf3590a4794e4ca0002979">
          <inserted>Of the 13 code amendments lodged since the introduction of the streamline process, three were determined to be eligible.</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20250916f1bf3590a4794e4ca0002980">
          <inserted>The following reasons are cited for why a code amendment proposal is not eligible for a streamlined process:</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20250916f1bf3590a4794e4ca0002981">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">
            <inserted>the proposal involves complex technical matters, such as character or local heritage policy;</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>
        <text id="20250916f1bf3590a4794e4ca0002982">
          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">
            <inserted>the proposal requires complex infrastructure agreements, including known wastewater capacity constraints or significant transport constraints; and</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>

          <item sublevel="1" bullet="true">
            <inserted>the proposal does not align with the strategic direction of state policies.</inserted>
