          <inserted>The budget allocation for the rebuilt Mount Barker Ambulance Station is $9.1 million, which is inclusive of the costs of land acquisition offset by the anticipated sale of the existing ambulance station site.</inserted>

          <inserted>While the election commitment was to rebuild the Mount Barker Ambulance Station, it became apparent that the existing site was not large enough to fit a facility that could accommodate the new Mount Barker crewing. </inserted>

          <inserted>The other important factor was catering for anticipated population growth and ensuring that the location of the station could best meet the needs of SA Ambulance Service to meet their response time targets. As a result, the decision was made to build a new fit-for-purpose ambulance station.</inserted>

          <inserted>The additional budget will support the procurement of the new allotment and delivery of the essential project scope including site-works, engineering services connections and facility construction costs. The station will have space and facilities for six ambulance vehicles and two garaged light fleet vehicles, with room for potential future expansion if required.</inserted>
