PICTON (Kaurna—Minister for Health and Wellbeing): I have been advised: It is difficult to determine precisely when somebody has contracted COVID. Considering this, it is not possible to quantify the number of patients who contracted COVID based on location. Similarly, the number of patients who have died with COVID-19 in the hospital system cannot be verified as the diagnosis of COVID-19 may not have been the direct cause of their death. The total number of deaths with COVID-19 is publicly available on the SA Health website.
