PICTON (Kaurna—Minister for Health and Wellbeing): I have been advised: State government employees are employed under a state enterprise agreement, the South Australian Public Sector Wages Parity Enterprise Agreement: Weekly Paid 2022, which is negotiated and registered under the state industrial relations system. As such, the Fair Work Commission (FWC) decision does not directly apply to aged-care workers employed by the state government. The South Australian Public Sector Wages Parity Enterprise Agreement: Weekly Paid 2022 is due for renegotiation in September 2024 and has an expiry date of 1 March 2025. The FWC decision is noted and will form part of the discussions in the upcoming negotiations for a replacement state enterprise agreement.
