In early March this year, VAILO was placed into receivership as a result of apparently defaulting on a repayment to a major bank.</text>

MULLIGHAN (Lee—Treasurer, Minister for Defence and Space Industries, Minister for Police) (15:25):</by>  I think it has been previously reported in <term>The Advertiser</term> that there were some unpaid tax bills from Mr Hickmann or one of his companies for properties that were owned. That, as I understand it, related to a land tax liability. I think I gave a commitment the last sitting week that I would follow up the particulars about the status of that particular debt to RevenueSA.</text>

        <text id="202504299184b3133cb84046a0000455">While I have been advised that, due to the restrictions caused by the privacy provisions of the Taxation Administration Act in South Australia, I am somewhat limited in the advice I can provide, I will make sure that I come back to the house and provide as much detail as possible. Aside from the RevenueSA-related matter, it is my advice that not only do we have a new sponsor for the Adelaide 500 but of course the previous sponsorship arrangement has ended and there is nothing further that is required to occur between the two parties in that contractual relationship. But I will come back to the member for Flinders and provide as much detail as I can to him and to the house.</text>
