          <inserted>As the former Minister for Trade and Investment would be aware it is common practice for members of parliament, regardless of political persuasion, to request meetings with the trade and investment minister and companies who seek to grow their export capacity and enter new markets. </inserted>

          <inserted>Since December 2022, the Department for Trade and Investment has referred more than 450 Adelaide-based companies to a federal government entity or federal minister, of which around 40 companies were defence, space or innovation related organisations.</inserted>

          <inserted>I sincerely hope the former minister would have facilitated similar meetings and introductions to former federal colleagues and their respective agencies throughout his tenure as a minister in the Marshall liberal government and trust that such information will also be able to be extracted.</inserted>
