KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Energy and Mining) (15:11):</by> It is a dangerous intersection and yes, it will be upgraded, and it will be upgraded relatively soon. We made this an election commitment, which saw the former local member defeated and a new member elected. This was in no small part due to her advocacy about local roads and the lack of care and concern in relation to that previously.</text>
<text id="202403067dde933c78e64ff390000557">I thank the member for raising this important question because it is important that we do acknowledge that there are some very dangerous intersections that need to be upgraded. We are doing our bit. The state government is spending a record amount of money on infrastructure over the next four years. It is unprecedented in its size and scope. Whether it is the north-south corridor, the Women's and Children's Hospital or upgrades to local intersections, the state government is doing what it can to make sure that we get it right. Detailed planning is underway, and I look forward to the beginning and completion of this very important project.</text>
