            <inserted>5A—Amendment of section 15—Requirements for witnessing advance care directives</inserted>

            <inserted>Section 15—after subsection (1) insert:</inserted>

            <inserted>(1a)&amp;#x9;Without otherwise limiting the requirements that may be set out in regulations made under this section relating to witnessing an advance care directive, the regulations—</inserted>

            <inserted>(a)&amp;#x9;cannot require an advance care directive to be signed or witnessed in a particular order; and</inserted>

            <inserted>(b)&amp;#x9;cannot require a substitute decision-maker appointed under the advance care directive to have completed a part of an advance care directive form before the advance care directive can be witnessed.</inserted>
