BOYER (Wright—Minister for Education, Training and Skills): I have been advised of the following: Education family conferences continue to be an important part of the department's strategy to improving attendance. Education family conferences utilise a strengths-based, family-led approach to empower families to improve their children's attendance at school. It can be an effective mechanism to re-engage families in education when other approaches have been unsuccessful.
