KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Energy and Mining):</by>  The Department for Infrastructure and Transport advises the number of vehicles to which an outer areas registration concession was applied between 1 July 2022, and 30 June 2023, was approximately 12,693.</inserted>

          <inserted>The reintroduction of the outer areas registration concession was an election commitment of the Malinauskas Labor government and has saved regional communities in excess of $3.1 million.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Similarly, as of 1 July 2022, owners of historic or left-hand drive vehicles 25 years or older were able to access reduced care registration fees under the conditional registration scheme.</inserted>

          <inserted>The number of vehicles between 25 and 29 years of age that registered on the conditional registration scheme as of 30 June 2023, was approximately 2,924 vehicles.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>From 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023, the total fee for a typical six cylinder vehicle in metropolitan Adelaide was $820.09. However, if this same vehicle was on historic registration for the 12-month period, a total fee of $82.14 would apply, resulting in to a cost saving of $737.95.</inserted>
