SZAKACS (Cheltenham—Minister for Police, Emergency Services and Correctional Services): I have been advised: As at 7 July 2022, total billing costs for the Kangaroo Island staffing dispute have amounted to $409,234. The estimated total of wages and on-costs for maintaining four police officers was about $582,000 in the 2021-22 financial year. Having two persons on call at Kangaroo Island Police Station costs $24,564 per annum.
