          <inserted>The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), through Events South Australia, has been committed to working with regional events and the event industry at large, to support their recovery from the impacts of COVID.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>In 2021-22, the Regional Event Fund budget was $600,000 to fund events directly. This budget was fully expended in 2021-22 and allocated across all twelve regions in South Australia. </inserted>

          <inserted>The 2022-23 Regional Event Fund has $500,000 allocated to fund events.</inserted>

          <inserted>The Fund will support events held between 1 September 2022 and 30 August 2023. Applications for round one of the Regional Event Fund have now closed. </inserted>

          <inserted>Applications for the Regional Event Fund are assessed against the eligibility criteria which is outlined in the Regional Event Funding Guidelines. </inserted>
