KOUTSANTONIS (West Torrens—Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Energy and Mining): I am advised that all new major infrastructure projects managed by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport will include the following provisions in the head contracts: All construction contractors are to comply with 90% local content commitment, where the number of on-site hours performed by local workers (engaged by either the contractor or its subcontractors) is no less than 90 per cent of the total contract hours. Failure to comply in part or in whole with the requirements may impact award of future department contracts and may have financial implications.
