Implementation of the government's election commitments including: introducing legislation to create an offence of industrial manslaughter introducing legislation to criminalise the deliberate underpayment of employees (wage theft) scoping the expansion of a portable long service leave schem. Consideration and implementation of any recommendations contained in the review undertaken by Judge Mansfield. Consideration and implementation of any recommendations contained in the review of SafeWork SA. Implementation of work aimed at addressing recommendations from the Respect@Work Report. Legislative provisions and educational material for managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace. Learning reports from reviews, reports and decisions made in SA and other states and territories aimed at identifying improvements to SafeWork SA's compliance and enforcement practices. Development and release of the new strategic plan for SafeWork SA for 2023-2027. Continuous focus on reviewing current system and practices with the view to continuously improve and provide a high quality service. A number of projects to continue focusing on becoming a high performing safety regulator. Implementation of IT initiatives to become a modern regulator. Work with Mates in Construction to incorporate their initiatives into compliance and education campaigns in the construction and mining sector.
