          <inserted>Within SA Health, there are controls in place to ensure assets are appropriate, available, safe, used effectively, functioning correctly, and compliant with relevant laws, regulations and standards. In the SA Health environment, with well-trained clinical staff and technical staff, most equipment performs well beyond its expected life. Asset performance is monitored. Devices are replaced when they can no longer be supported by suppliers or become obsolete.</inserted>
