WINGARD (Gibson—Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing): I have been advised: The Office of the Valuer General (OVG) undertakes the valuation procurement process on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport. Once submissions have been received, the OVG makes a recommendation based on the most suitably qualified valuer having regard to their experience, cost and capacity, with a range of valuation firms having been awarded contracts for the South Road Project. The property valuers are instructed to complete an assessment of compensation that is in accordance with the Land Acquisition Act 1969.
