          <inserted>The Aboriginal Arts and Cultures Centre (AACC) Aboriginal Reference Group (ARG) is the only governance committee that receives payment for its participation on the project.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The ARG provides strategic direction and advice to ensure vision and key objectives of the AACC development meet requirements of cultural expectations and are representative of Aboriginal cultures. The Aboriginal reference group includes nine members, representing a cross section of the First Nations people, including representatives of the Kaurna people.</inserted>

          <inserted>Members of the ARG are entitled to be remunerated in accordance with their Terms of Appointment and DPC Circular 16—Remuneration for Government Appointed Part-Time Boards and Committees with the following sessional fee structure:</inserted>

            <inserted>For meetings &lt;2 hours in duration: $51.50 per hour, inclusive of meeting preparation time</inserted>
          </item>

            <inserted>For meetings 2-4 hours duration: $206.00 flat rate, inclusive of meeting preparation time.</inserted>

          <inserted>In 2020-21, a total of $55,465.27 was allocated towards the Aboriginal Reference Group for the sitting fees and a professional services fee for the AACC project ambassador, Mr David Rathman, in his capacity as chair of the group and more broadly spokesperson for the project.</inserted>
