          <inserted>There are a range of initiatives implemented by the government to increase public accessibility of courses delivered by TAFE SA. These include:</inserted>
        </text>

          <item>
            <inserted>subsidised training through the Department for Innovation and Skills</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>
        <text id="20210921d044865c842c48e0a0001187">
          <item>
            <inserted>fee waivers for students under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive of the Department for Child Protection</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>
        <text id="20210921d044865c842c48e0a0001188">
          <item>
            <inserted>fee waivers for students who are prisoners, through the Department for Correctional Services; and</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>
        <text id="20210921d044865c842c48e0a0001189">
          <item>
            <inserted>additional subsidies for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. </inserted>
          </item>

          <inserted>TAFE SA also promotes a range of scholarship opportunities that are available to its students. These include:</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>Destination Australia. An Australian government initiative to attract and support Australian and international students to study in regional Australia. For the period of 2020-21 to 2022-23, a total of $775,000 is expected to be granted to eligible students.</inserted>
          </item>

          <item>
            <inserted>Busy At Work. This program is to support young Australians or ex Australian Defence Force to gain critical employability skills, receiving up to $5,000 in study assistance.</inserted>
          </item>

          <item>
            <inserted>Veolia Scholarships. Providing scholarships opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander South Australians. Veolia offer up to five scholarships to the value of $1,000.</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>Sisters of Charity Foundation – Tertiary Scholarship program. The program empowers students from out-of-home care backgrounds to access education, helping students with study expenses such as course fees and textbooks.</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>Redkite Education and Career Support grants. Redkite provides financial grants to help students aged 15-24 who have experienced cancer.</inserted>
          </item>

            <inserted>Playford Trust – TAFE SA Study Awards. The Playford Trust will provide up to eight (8) awards of $2,000 each for TAFE SA students undertaking a cert II, III or diploma.</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>June Opie Fellowship. Grants one fellowship annually for up to NZ$12,000. It is intended to support people with a severe disability who are planning to undertake a postgraduate study.</inserted>
          </item>

          <item>
            <inserted>Wyndham Richardson Scholarship Fund. Provides scholarships valued at $1,500 to assist full time students enrolled in a certificate IV and above who are experiencing significant financial hardship.</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>Wyatt Work Start and Financial Assistance grants. Financial assistance may be sought by individuals experiencing financial hardship.</inserted>
          </item>

            <inserted>Trevor Prescott Memorial Scholarship. Available to South Australian and Northern Territory residents aged between 20-30 requiring financial assistance </inserted>
          </item>
        </text>

            <inserted>Stand Like Stone Foundation Educational Scholarship. There are several grants and scholarships available to assist people who identify with the Limestone Coast to undertake educational studies at a range of levels.</inserted>
          </item>

          <item>
            <inserted>Robert Rose Foundation. This foundation provides grants to support those with spinal cord injuries and their families.</inserted>
          </item>
        </text>

          <item>
            <inserted>Pinnacle Foundation Scholarships. The Pinnacle Foundation provides multi-year educational scholarships and mentoring support to young adults across Australia where their gender identity, sexual orientation or characteristics prevent or hinder their career aspirations or personal development.</inserted>

          <item>
            <inserted>Jorge Castillo-Riffo Scholarship. Open to TAFE SA students studying a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with an aim to progress studies.</inserted>

            <inserted>Dawn Slade-Faull Award. Awards are available for South Australian residents who have an intellectual, physical, sensory or psychiatric disability. </inserted>

            <inserted>Dame Roma Mitchell Grants. Financial assistance is available for young people aged to 29 to contribute to the achievement of personal goals, health and wellbeing, and personal development.</inserted>

          <inserted>The total amount of the budget allocated to scholarship opportunities or TAFE SA varies year by year and reflects the needs of individual students enrolling each year.</inserted>
