          <inserted>Schools are planned as safe places for children and an important element of this is minimising the movement of vehicles within school sites. For this reason, car parking is only provided within the boundaries of school sites for staff and visitors. </inserted>

          <inserted>Parking areas for parents to drop off and collect students, including kiss-and-drop zones, are more appropriately provided on the public roads surrounding school sites to enable the local council and South Australia Police to monitor driver behaviour and enforce parking controls.</inserted>

          <inserted>In this respect, I understand that the City of West Torrens has allocated funding in its 2021/22 budget for the construction of a new indented kiss and drop zone on Errington Street, Plympton.</inserted>
