Was the 21-day-old baby who tragically died at Noarlunga Hospital on 23 April the subject of any child protection notifications?           <by role="member" id="4846">Ms HILDYARD:</by>  Today's <term>Advertiser</term> reported that the father of the baby, 31-year-old Ashley John McGregor, has been remanded in custody after being charged with the manslaughter of the baby. McGregor was already facing serious criminal charges, including maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship with a child, having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14 and producing and possessing child exploitation material.</text>

CHAPMAN (Bragg—Deputy Premier, Attorney-General, Minister for Planning and Local Government) (14:33):</by>  I just indicate that the member in her own question has outlined the fact that this is a matter currently before the criminal court. I appreciate that her question seeks information in relation to any other historical issue in relation to the victim—in this case, a little baby. I will make some inquiries into what information can be made available in light of the fact that the matter is sub judice and, as you pointed out, is currently before the courts in those criminal matters.</text>
