GARDNER (Morialta—Minister for Education): The Minister for Health and Wellbeing has been advised: A number of sites in close proximity to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital were assessed prior to the establishment of the approved site. All were unsuitable for a number a reasons, which varied between sites. The Women's and Children's Hospital (WCH) COVID-19 testing clinic closed on 7 March 2021 due to low testing numbers and the establishment of the vaccination clinic at the hospital. The Victoria Park testing site has been identified as the preferred site to test children due to a number of WCH staff who are currently working at this site. No further closures of testing sites in the metropolitan area are planned at this stage.
