          <by role="member" id="4338">The Hon. S.S. MARSHALL:</by>  I'm pretty sure that every single member in this house actually collects information when a constituent comes into their office. Quite frankly, I think that it would be pretty inappropriate if they didn't do that. We've got a responsibility to represent the people we are elected to serve, so taking notes in whatever form I think forms a fundamental part of what we are elected to do. It's a responsibility; in fact, I would go so far as to say it's a core responsibility to represent those people, whether they voted for us or not.</text>
        <text id="2021033023a69e5f0e1d4f52a0000417">I would make the point though that the media interest in this has really been around whether or not there has been the redirecting of people who have accessed government websites to Liberal Party domains or websites—the answer to that is no—or whether or not there has been any data collected or retained—</text>
