Can the minister inform the house what discussions have been held about cuts to surgery budgets in NALHN—that is, the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network—and, in particular, if there has been consideration given to reducing surgery at Modbury Hospital and the quantum of those cuts identified?</text>

VAN HOLST PELLEKAAN (Stuart—Minister for Energy and Mining) (14:42):</by>  That is a question with a very broad component—have there been any discussions at all about a particular topic—and also a very specific component with regard to asking about cuts in a particular service at a particular hospital. For the member for Florey, I would be very happy to engage with the Minister for Health and Wellbeing to try to get a fulsome answer to these things, as I always do for the member for Florey.</text>
        <text id="2019111265cc6a181fbf4f8eb0000532">But let me just say in general that the Minister for Health and Wellbeing and our government are doing everything that we possibly we can to improve health services all over metro Adelaide. Whether it is CALHN, SALHN, NALHN or country areas, we are putting in an enormous amount of effort with regard to both budgetary contributions and engagement with health providers who actually do the incredibly valuable work that is done in our health system. The Minister for Health and Wellbeing is doing a truly outstanding job in this area, and I will come back for the—</text>
