          <inserted>Adelaide Metro Bus Contracts</inserted>

            <inserted>The new Adelaide metro bus service contracts have been designed around a contract term of eight years with a performance review at year 5. </inserted>
          </item>

            <inserted>The performance review is based on nominated performance criteria. </inserted>
          </item>

            <inserted>If the performance criteria are achieved or exceeded, the term is eight years. </inserted>

            <inserted>If the operator fails to achieve the performance standards, DPTI can elect to terminate the contract at the year 5 review.</inserted>

            <inserted>This termination is an election at DPTI discretion.</inserted>

          <inserted>Regional Bus Contracts</inserted>

          <inserted>The South Australian Public Transport Authority is set to review regional bus services and investigate potential reforms that will ensure long term sustainability of services that are affordable and accessible to regional communities. </inserted>

          <inserted>A new regional services contract framework will be developed, focusing on the areas of funding, service development, procurement and contracting. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The new regional contract terms will be developed to ensure the best outcome for government, the communities and to ensure viability for the contractors.</inserted>
