          <inserted>The Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People's instrument of appointment sets out seven key outcomes for the role, which are:</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002316">
          <inserted>1.&amp;#x9;promote the development of operational practices, policies and procedures by state authorities</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002317">
          <inserted>2.&amp;#x9;focus on assisting Aboriginal families and communities to keep Aboriginal children safe in culturally appropriate ways</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002318">
          <inserted>3.&amp;#x9;consult with Aboriginal children and young people, their families and communities in activities and initiatives arising from the office of the commissioner to maximise engagement and participation</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002319">
          <inserted>4.&amp;#x9;gain insight and contribution from experts in relevant fields</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002320">
          <inserted>5.&amp;#x9;provide age appropriate and accessible information to Aboriginal children and young people</inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20190911e5fc7a4c2faf47bc90002321">
          <inserted>6.&amp;#x9;in collaboration with the Commissioner for Children and Young People prepare and publish reports and research finding and make recommendations to ministers, state authorities and other bodies on matters related to the rights, development and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people; and</inserted>

          <inserted>7.&amp;#x9;work with the Commissioner for Children and Young People to promote the performance of their functions as they relate to Aboriginal children and young people.</inserted>
