To make an informed decision, the best vests which meet the needs of front line police officers are being trialled. The trial will take into account the suitability of the vests for frontline officers, including performance, protection and comfort.</inserted>

          <inserted>The 105-vest trial is currently underway. The trial is testing seven types of multipurpose load-bearing vests. This trial follows a very thorough procurement process launched by the police commissioner to ensure we get the best possible vests for our police.</inserted>
