          <inserted>Valid child-related screening checks issued prior to 1 July 2019 remain valid until they expire, even if this expiry date is after 1 July 2019.</inserted>

          <inserted>The department and NGO services have been actively working with carers and carer households to ensure they are aware of the requirements in regard to working with children checks.</inserted>

          <inserted>Additionally, information on the DCP website states that, 'If your screening will expire within the next six months, you should apply for a new clearance now.' The website also provides further details on how to apply for a new clearance.</inserted>
