Can the Attorney-General assure the house that as a result of the Chelsey Potter discussion that she, the Attorney-General, has fulfilled all her obligations as a public officer under the ICAC Act? CHAPMAN (Bragg—Deputy Premier, Attorney-General) (14:33): Perhaps I need to repeat what I had said in relation to the communications I have had. I had made a communication to Ms Potter outlining the offer to assist her in relation to any concerns that she has. To date, I have had a message back from her to thank me for that offer and that I have not been provided with any other information or detail in relation to the matter. So I repeat: I am relying in relation to the detail on the matter as is published and, quite frankly, even if I was aware of other detail, for the reasons I have previously explained, and the other cases of which people have come to me in the time I have been here in the parliament, I wouldn't disclose the particulars of those from whatever political party they have been from, whoever the allegations have been made against. It is up to the complainant how and where they take that matter further. It is a sensitive matter, and in these sorts of issues they must be respected. Our obligation is to make sure that we give them all the tools and available options for their consideration.
