          <inserted>The Public Transport and Planning section of the Department for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government (DPTI) works closely with all councils in regards to bus stop infrastructure across the metropolitan area. This includes regular dialogue, discussion and dissemination of data around the location of the stops and the facilities provided at each stop. DPTI recognises the need to provide expert advice and data for councils to make an informed decision to provide the best experience for public transport customers for their whole journey.</inserted>

          <inserted>Councils are responsible for the maintenance of bus shelters, associated footpath infrastructure and requests for new bus shelters.</inserted>

          <inserted>The electorate of Florey is within three local government areas; Port Adelaide Enfield Council, the City of Salisbury and the City of Tea Tree Gully. While DPTI have not installed any shelters since the end of the bus shelter investment program in 2014, councils advise us that there have been 26 shelters either newly installed or replaced in the past year. None of these have been within the electorate of Florey.</inserted>
